POST 5: THE STORY BEHIND A PICTURE

Equatorial Andes

This picture I took the 2014 in Ecuador, specifically on the volcano Quilotoa, in the Equatorial Andes. This was the longest trip that I ever made, with friends and in the adventure. It brings me beautiful memories that are related to detachment and adventure without much money but with a lot of energy and desire to know. It remembers to me that everything it´s possible to make, because we start this trip backpacking from Calama, in the Antofagasta.

The phenomenon is very beautiful and the reason of it happens it is because this volcano erupted like 800 years ago. At this time the building of the volcano collapsed making a boiler, which has been filled with water to form a beautiful lagoon. Because of the minerals on the bottom this lagoon has a beautiful green color. Also, the friend we see in the photo posed very kindly for my camera.
